As part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities we serve, Goonite Hygiene, the makers of Besense Sanitary Pads and Lebrace Baby Diapers, visited the Apollo community in Makoko, Lagos State, on October 2nd, 2024.
In a gesture aimed at supporting women, young girls, and mothers, we distributed free sanitary pads and baby diapers to hundreds of residents, reaffirming our dedication to improving hygiene and well-being across Nigeria.
This impactful event, led by our Managing Director, John Jiang, marked an important moment in our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

As we arrived in Apollo, often referred to as the “Venice of Africa” for its distinctive waterways, the excitement and gratitude of the community were palpable. Residents welcomed our team with open arms, and the day became a celebration of care and support.
Speaking during the event, John Jiang expressed the deep connection we have with communities like Apollo. “It’s a privilege to be here, and our goal is to make a real difference in the lives of the women and children who face significant challenges in maintaining proper hygiene. This donation is just one way we want to show them that they are not alone and that they deserve access to the best hygiene products.”
The highlight of the day was the distribution of our Besense sanitary pads and Lebrace baby diapers, both of which are known for their high-quality materials and excellent absorbency.
Besense pads, which are crafted using top-grade raw materials sourced from the USA and Europe, have become trusted companions for many women, offering them comfort and protection during their menstrual cycles. Lebrace baby diapers, with their super absorbent design, provide babies with the comfort and dryness they need for a healthy start in life.
The event also saw the Baale of the Apollo Community, Ogungbure Orioye Jephter, express heartfelt gratitude for the support provided by Goonite Hygiene.
He emphasized the importance of such initiatives, especially in a time when many families are struggling to meet basic needs. “This gesture is a blessing for our women and mothers. Hygiene is often overlooked, but it’s essential to their health and the well-being of the community.”
John Jiang also took the opportunity to highlight Goonite Hygiene’s wider CSR efforts, explaining that this visit to Apollo is just the beginning of a broader campaign that will extend to other communities in Nigeria and beyond.
“We have carried out thousands of similar campaigns across all 36 states of Nigeria and even in neighboring African countries. Our mission is to continue making a positive impact, not just through our products, but through actions that show our dedication to the health and happiness of those we serve.”
For the women and mothers in Apollo, this event was much more than a simple donation. It was a reminder that they deserve the very best in care, and Goonite Hygiene is here to ensure they receive it.
With high-quality products like Besense sanitary pads and Lebrace baby diapers, Goonite Hygiene continues to lead the way in promoting hygiene and providing essential care for women and children across Nigeria.
We remain committed to creating a healthier, more empowered society through initiatives that go beyond business and touch the hearts of the communities we serve.
